There are plenty of daily activities on Fripp Island for everyone to participate. If you enjoy golf Fripp Island had two championship golf courses. One designed by Cobb which is up by ocean point and has marvelous views of the ocean all along the way. The other course was Davis Love’s first designed golf course. It is located at Ocean Creek.
The Ocean Creek course had beautiful views of the marsh, and surrounding landscape. There are tennis courts mid island 4 clay that are on the right side of the club house where the championship matches are held and six clay courts on the other side of the club house to get away from spectators and for some great practice.
If you are a swimmer or just love swimming pools there are at least seven pools. There is a lap pool, 25 meters for the stay in shape swimmer coming down for vacation but who also do not want to get out of shape. There are adult pools only and kiddie pools and family pools. You can always find a place to cool off.
If you are in the mood to workout in the workout room you have a tread mill, a bike, and a few other machines to bet healthier. Fishing and crabbing are always at hand. Fish or crab off of Wardel’s pier at the far end of Fripp Island.
There are activities at the activity center all week long. You can make Tie Dye t-shirts, shell stepping stones, bird houses, go on nature hunts and scavenger hunts that will send you all over the island.
But my favorite activity on the island is driving the golf cart around. I’ll drive all around the island and every single time out and about on my ride I have run into all kind of interesting stuff . Other than just the beautiful scenery I’ve come upon dolphins playing in the surf, ospreys carrying snakes and fish for food, Eagles flying about, deer and mommy deers with their babies with little white dots on their coats. Gators sunning in the sun. Herons fishing for food and swallowing whole fish and watching the fish slide down.
